# About this preview {#about-this-preview}


This is an unofficial preview of the LibreTranslate documentation, rebuilt with [Sourcey](https://sourcey.com), an open-source docs engine licensed under AGPL-3.0. It is not run by the LibreTranslate project. Search engines are asked not to index it, and it comes down on request, or after 30 days.


## What it is built from {#what-it-is-built-from}


- The documentation repository, [LibreTranslate/Documentation](https://github.com/LibreTranslate/Documentation) at `e4be096`, converted with `sourcey migrate`: all 61 pages in English, Spanish, French and Italian at their current addresses, with every heading link still landing.
- The [API reference](https://sourcey-libretranslate.pages.dev/api/index.md) from LibreTranslate's OpenAPI specification.
- The [MCP reference](https://sourcey-libretranslate.pages.dev/mcp/index.md) from the official server, `@libretranslate/mcp` 1.0.2: its three tools as the server itself reports them when it starts. No tool was run to capture them.


## Measured beside the current site {#measured-beside-the-current-site}


Both sites were built from their own sources and served side by side on one machine, compressed as hosts serve them. Each page was opened in a fresh browser at 1440 by 1000 pixels and measured once the network settled, on 21 October 2026 with Sourcey 3.8.3.

The preview builds in 3.0 s from cold, peaking at 631 MB of memory, and in 1.8 s with its cache. It writes 8.2 MB, of which 6.8 MB is what readers load (the current site writes 4.4 MB) and 1.3 MB is the machine-readable output below.

The Spanish and Italian guides link to the English pages' heading anchors, which their translated headings do not have.
